As part of activities surrounding the Jakarta Voluntary Blood Donation Association (IDDS) anniversary, the Jakarta Branch Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) collaborated with Jakarta Provincial Government and IDDS to hold a blood donation drive at Block G building, City Hall, Thursday (3/9).

The blood donation was officially opened by City Secretary, Uus Kuswanto.
In his speech, his party appreciated the implementation of blood donation activities at Block G building initiated by PMI and Jakarta IDDS.

Jakarta Branch PMI Blood Donation Vice Head, Dian Winarti explained as many as 150 people are targeted to participate in the donation at City Hall.
"We have 15 medics to serve people who want to donate their blood," she explained.
Hopefully, it could run sustainably and Jakarta IDDS could intensively socialize about the benefits of donating blood to residents.
She added the blood bag stock at Jakarta Branch PMI is now sufficient for the next 10 days. But usually, its stock is reduced when entering the fasting month.
"That's why we also urge residents to continue to donate blood during the fasting month," she said.
